Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) is available from week 3 on in CBMS103
PAL leaders will be introduced to you on Aug 14th Thursday at the beginning of the lecture.
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) is offered in many universities world wide to provide extra help in subjects that students traditionally find difficult. PAL sessions are run by undergraduate student leaders who have studied the unit in the previous year and therefore understand the difficulties of doing it successfully. These leaders are trained to use their knowledge and study skills to assist others. Research shows that students who attend PAL regularly have overall higher grades than those who don’t attend.
PAL sessions are free, voluntary and are one hour per week – in CBMS103 these sessions are at 1 -2pm every day. So meet the PAL leaders on Thursday to join a PAL session.

Prac allocations are still being finalized for some of you. You should check your allocation online and contact the Lecturer-in-Charge for any problems. Those who have contacted the Lecturer-in-Charge regarding prac allocations should expect the outcomes no later than the end of Friday.
The prac component is compulsory for those who have not done it before so first-timers must confirm that you have an allocation by logging into your account at the unit web site and contact the Lecturer-in-Charge for any problems.
